This meeting was attended by City staff, School/School District staff and City Council <br />members. The alternatives presented included the following: <br /> <br />• Obtaining additional land from the State of Minnesota and relocating the west parking lot <br />access to provide one four-legged intersection <br />• Constructing a median on Lake Valentine Road to provide exclusive left turn lanes into <br />accesses <br />• Consolidating pedestrian crossings to one central location with traffic signal control <br />• Constructing a pedestrian overpass from the north parking lot to the south side of Lake <br />Valentine Road <br />• Constructing a pedestrian underpass from the north parking lot to the south side of Lake <br />Valentine Road <br />• Reorganizing the pick-up/drop-off area for pedestrian safety and improved operations <br />• Realign Lake Valentine Road to provide more room for school side improvements <br /> <br />This work session centered around a presentation showing drone video clips highlighting issues <br />and constraints of the corridor and study area as well as rough sketches of opportunities including <br />the improvement alternatives presented in the preceding bulletized list.
