ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – APRIL 27, 2020 3 <br /> <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Blomstrom stated a MnDOT Open House would be held <br />regarding the temporary closing of the left turn median opening for southbound Highway 51 onto <br />Hamline Avenue. He explained this meeting would be conducted virtually with both website and <br />call in options for questions or comments. He reported staff will place details regarding the <br />MnDOT Open House meeting on the City’s website when details are finalized. He commented <br />MnDOT would be sending mailings to residents that live near the project area. Staff has provided <br />MnDOT with a list of 180 property owners for notifications. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung asked how pothole patching was going this spring. <br /> <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Blomstrom indicated staff has been through the street <br />system to cover some of the worst potholes and noted every street will be inspected for pothole <br />patching. He encouraged residents to contact staff with any pothole concerns. <br /> <br />6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />A. April 13, 2020, Special City Council Work Session <br />B. April 13, 2020, Regular City Council <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved and Councilmember McClung seconded a <br />motion to approve the April 13, 2020, Special City Council Work Session <br />meeting minutes; and April 13, 2020, Regular City Council meeting minutes <br />as amended. A roll call vote was taken. The motion carried unanimously (4- <br />0). <br /> <br />7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />A. Motion to Approve Consent Agenda Item - Claims and Payroll <br />B. Motion to Approve Professional Services Agreement with Ulteig Engineering – <br />Karth Lake Runoff Control <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved and Councilmember McClung seconded a <br />motion to approve the Consent Calendar as amended and to authorize <br />execution of all necessary documents contained therein. A roll call vote was <br />taken. The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />8. PULLED CONSENT ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Motion to Approve First Quarter Financials <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes stated she would like to better understand how COVID-19 was <br />impacting the City of Arden Hills financials. <br />
