ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL _ APRIL 27,2020 ll <br />5. The proposed amendment only effects land guided for High Density south of Highways 96 <br />and 10. <br />6. The proposed amended language has been vetted and is supported by the Metropolitan <br />Council. <br />Community Development ManagerlCity Planner Mrosla explained the Planning Commission <br />recommended the City Council submit the amendments to the Metropolitan Council for review <br />and approval. <br />Mayor Grant asked if staffinvestigate the language regarding the location of the affected land <br />Community Development Manager/City Planner Mrosla stated he had done an investigation <br />and explained "west" was not included in the original wording. He commented staff could add <br />"West of County Road 10" in order to clarify the affected land. <br />Mayor Grant supported this recommendation. <br />Councilmember McClung asked if the "West of County Road 10" language would include the <br />triangle parcel for Arden Manor. <br />Community Development ManagerlCity Planner Mrosla reported this would be the case <br />Further discussion ensued regarding the land that would be included within the Comprehensive <br />Plan Text Amendment. <br />Councilmember McClung explained the language was trying to get at is the City exclusive of the <br />TCAAP parcel. <br />Community Development Manager/City Planner Mrosla stated this was correct. <br />Councilmember McClung suggested the language read south of County Road 96 or west of <br />County Road 10. <br />Community Development ManagerlCity Planner Mrosla commented this would be the most <br />clear language to use. <br />City Administrator Perrault explained this text amendment would only allow for PUD's within <br />land guided for High Density. <br />Councilmember McClung questioned land in the City would be impacted by the proposed text <br />amendment. <br />Community Development ManagerlCity Planner Mrosla reported the only land that would be <br />impacted would be the Summit Development project.
