Arden Hills City Hall Mechanical Assessment 22020 <br /> <br />3 | Page <br /> <br />IIntroduction <br />The Arden Hills City Hall was built in 2000. The building is approximately 17,000 square feet with a <br />partial basement and partial second floor. The main floor houses city offices and the council chambers. <br />The upper floor has offices while the basement has a community room, storage and mechanical spaces. <br />The scope of the project includes the building HVAC systems and Domestic Hot Water Heater. The <br />following observations were made on June 12, 2020. <br />Domestic Water Heating Systems <br />The main building domestic hot water heater is a State model SBF75120NE gas-fired tank-type <br />commercial water heater located in the boiler room. The water heater appears to be original to the <br />building. The water heater appeared to be in fair condition with some small amounts of rust forming. <br />Based on the age, the water heater is near the end of its expected life and should be replaced. <br />
