Arden Hills City Hall Mechanical Assessment 22020 <br /> <br />4 | Page <br /> <br />HHydronic Heating Systems <br />The building has a hydronic hot water heating system. Heating hot water is provided by two Slant Fin <br />Caravan GG 350 MBH boilers. The boilers are gas fired and are original to the building. Their estimated <br />combustion efficiency is about 83%. There was some rust forming on the burners and several repairs <br />done over the past few years. These cast iron boilers can have a 30-35-year life. But given the age, <br />appearance and number of repairs, they are probably near the end of their expected life. <br /> <br />The hydronic heating hot water system has (2) Bell & Gossett Series 60 circulation pumps. Pump #1 <br />appears to be original to the building while Pump #2 appears to have been replaced in 2015. Pump #1 <br />was in fair condition and near the end of life. Pump #2 is in good condition with around 10 years of <br />expected life remaining.
