Parks, Trails & Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes February 18, 2020 <br />Page 3 <br />Elmer L. Andersen Memorial Trail on the western side of Arden Hills leads into New <br />Brighton. There is interest to add additional ways for pedestrians and bicycles to cross, most <br />likely under, I-694 in Arden Hills. <br />Chair Straumann felt the priority - as our current Ramsey County Trails funding priority - <br />would be to get from Indian Place to the entrance of Tony Schmidt Regional Park. <br />Discussion ensued regarding possible ways to cross I-694, trails around Tony Schmidt Regional <br />Park and to Valentine Park. <br />F. 2020 Work Plan Overview <br />Chair Straumann noted that Park Shore senior housing south of Round Lake will bring a new trail <br />to that area. Play Structures, Rice Creek Commons, and hard-court resurfacing will be upcoming. <br />There was discussion regarding Crepeau Nature Preserve, and a possible tour of the Rice Creek <br />Commons area. <br />5. REPORTS <br />Committee Member Finlay proposed a resolution to thank the Public Works/Parks and <br />Trails maintenance staff. <br />6. NEXT MEETING <br />The next PTRC Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2020. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
