Our services will be provided in the <br /> manner described in this Proposal subject to the terms and conditions set forth in our"General <br /> Provisions of Engineer-Architect Agreement" dated July 2009. Hereinafter, the City of Arden Hills will be <br /> referred to as the "City". <br /> I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The City is proposing to complete a desktop study of their trunk watermain. The City has a 16-inch <br /> diameter cast iron watermain extending between the southern municipal boundary and the north water <br /> tower, as shown on Exhibit A. The watermain was installed in 1968 and includes a portion passing <br /> under Interstate 694. <br /> II. SCOPE OF SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY TKDA <br /> Based on TKDA's understanding of the Project, we propose to provide the following services. <br /> 1) DESKTOP EVALUATION <br /> a) Project Management: Provide general Project Management of TKDA's services for the Project <br /> including communications, maintaining the Project work schedule, and managing budgets and <br /> invoicing. <br /> b) Review existing information: TKDA will review the original design, record drawings, and any <br /> other information available on the trunk watermain. <br /> c) Review recent repairs or failures: TKDA will review the City's records on repairs and failures of <br /> the trunk watermain, and locate them on a figure to evaluate if there is a trend in their location. <br /> d) Review changes to the pipe loading: TKDA will review plans for any projects that would have <br /> increased the amount of fill or loading on the existing pipe. <br /> e) Review soil conditions: TKDA will review available soil information to evaluate and possible <br /> areas of corrosive soil. TKDA will also work with the City to select locations for soil borings and <br /> testing along the watermain alignment.
