CONSENT ITEM—6M <br /> ,-iI�EN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: August 24, 2020 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> SUBJECT: Approve the Final Scope of the HVAC Project and Authorize the Advertisement <br /> for Bids <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $350,000 $360,200 Building/Equipment Fund <br /> Council Should Consider <br /> The Council should consider approving the scope of the HVAC project and authorize staff to <br /> move forward with advertising for bids for the City's HVAC replacement and upgrade project. <br /> Background <br /> The City Council previously reviewed a presentation by Paulson and Clark concerning the City's <br /> HVAC replacement and upgrade project. Paulson and Clark presented their assessment and <br /> different options to the City Council, which are attached (see Attachment A). <br /> Following the discussion, the City Council directed Paulson and Clark to move forward with <br /> their recommended options of replacing the existing equipment with like equipment, as well as, <br /> two-minor additions, the costs are shown in the table below. <br /> Item Cost <br /> Domestice Water Heater Replacement $ 28,000 <br /> Boiler Replacement $ 86,000 <br /> Unit Heater Replacement $ 4,500 <br /> DX/oil Replacement $190,000 <br /> Duct Liner Replacement $ 5,500 <br /> Total Cost $314,000 <br /> 1 <br />
