AGENDA ITEM – 1F <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: September 21, 2020 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: JDA Chair Discussion <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />For Council Consideration <br /> <br />Council may consider providing staff further direction regarding the upcoming JDA Chair <br />position. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />Per the bylaws of the Joint Development Authority (JDA) that oversees the TCAAP <br />redevelopment project, the City of Arden Hills is responsible for appointing a non-elected <br />member as Chair of the JDA; while Ramsey County appoints the Vice Chair. The current Chair <br />is Brian Holmes, and his term expires at the end of this year. <br /> <br />The City Council should discuss if it would like to go through a formal recruit process to fill the <br />upcoming two-year term, or re-appoint Mr. Holmes. Should Council want to reapprove Mr. <br />Holmes, he has indicated he is willing to remain on as Chair, Staff will have that for approval at <br />a later meeting.
