To view the final document, access adopted Resolutions via Arden Hills Public Laserfiche Weblink by visiting cityofardenhills.org and clicking on Archived Documents under Helpful Links on our main webpage. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2020-046 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE PROGRAM PARAMETERS AND <br />REOPEN THE APPLICATION SUBMITTAL PERIOD FOR SMALL <br />BUSINESS EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the federal and state governments have provided federal financial assistance <br />through the Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to Minnesota <br />cities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, The funds are now available and the City is required <br />to expend all of its funds by November 15, 2020, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, one of the eligible costs for use of the federal funding is to provide financial <br />assistance to local businesses that have been financially impacted by the pandemic, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at its August 24, 2020 meeting approved establishing a <br />small business emergency assistance grant program to provide financial assistance to its local <br />businesses in accordance with CARES Act funding and guidelines, and; <br />WHEREAS, the approved programs parameters has a minimum employment of three <br />employees, and; <br />WHEREAS, the application submittal period is set to close on Friday, September 25, 2020, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden <br />Hills, Minnesota, that: <br />1. The approved programs parameters shall be revised to remove the minimum employment <br />criteria. <br />2. The Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program application submittal period <br />shall be reopened starting Tuesday, September 29 through Tuesday, October 6, 2020 to <br />allow businesses with less than three (3) employees the ability to apply. <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS <br />28th DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br />______________________________ <br />David Grant, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />______________________________ <br />Julie Hanson, City Clerk
