Q2 Other Responses - On a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being not important and 5 being extremely important, how important are the following reasons for you to have chickens (laying hens only)? 5 / 81 #IF OTHER, PLEASE SPECIFY.DATE 1 out door birds do not make messes or bring fleas into the house. Caring for the birds is therapuic for challenged youth and adults. A home for handicapped persons near me could use birds for therapy. No killing the animals that prey on your chicken. I don't kill the rabbits that ruin my garden.
