Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />-Be more proactive in the budget process and reach out to residents to promote <br />participation in the annual budgeting process <br /> <br />-Create a Human Rights Commission similar to other cities and conduct an equity audit. <br /> <br />The Council did have a meeting with the Sheriff’s Office prior to the meeting with the coalition, <br />and had a number of requests for the Sheriff’s Office, two of which were getting the Sheriff’s <br />Use of Force Policy publicly available and holding a meeting with the Sheriff’s Office and its <br />contract cities to discuss policing strategies. The Sheriff’s Office did provide the cities with a <br />copy of its Use of Force Policy and is in the process of getting it posted on their website.
