Spending time outs ide with them, listening to them is very relax ing. Knowing that their c hic k ens were treated well made them feel better about cons uming eggs. Having c hickens increas ed their interactions with neighbors due to people s topping by to as k ques tions, show c hildren the chic k ens, and wanting to feed them treats. In addition, unlik e dogs that c an come indoors if they are barking, chic k ens are not "tame" animals. My neighbor would also giv e me fresh egg and we lov ed it . They wandered all over the plac e—streets, y ards , garages. Roos ters are a bot her (very noisy) but chic k ens were just fine. It was great to get eggs f rom our neighbors.
