<br />Arden Hills Equipment Status <br /> <br />System Last Updated: October 2019 <br /> Approximate Cost: $84,000 <br /> Integration: CTV North Suburbs (Now NineNorth) <br /> <br />System Overview Highlights <br /> 2019 production system was updated to HD. <br /> Production System does not need to be updated in 2021. <br /> Zoom computer was added in 2020. Teleconferencing software updates may <br />occur in the next year. <br /> Projector was replaced with a new 4k Laser based one in 2020. <br /> <br />System Overview Details <br />The production system, including switcher, cameras and terminal gear are all new in <br />2019 and capable of HD resolutions. Expected lifespan for the majority of the <br />equipment is 10-15 years. Replacements should start to be considered around 2032. <br />The control computer should be refreshed in 5-7 years. Control computer should be <br />updated in 2025. <br /> <br />With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a “Zoom” computer was added to the <br />system in 2020 to facilitate remote and hybrid meetings. This computer will may need <br />to be updated as teleconferencing software and technology evolves. <br /> <br />The audio system uses speakers, amps and microphones present prior to the 2019 <br />update, but due to the nature of those devices, it is expected that they will continue to <br />function well into the future. In 2019 a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) replaced the <br />analog audio board to provide for automatic mixing and sound reinforcement. Expected <br />lifespan - 10-15 years. Replacement should be considered around 2032. <br /> <br />The presentation system was substantially replaced, including new wireless contribution <br />capabilities. While new in 2019 the Atlona presentation system is having some issues. <br />The wireless contribution/switch device in the presentation cabinet has a tendency to <br />lock up. Also, the Velocity control system has been intermittent. We will be perfo rming <br />firmware updates and will track the results. <br /> <br />The dais monitor are performing well. There are two 65” monitors in the room, one high <br />on the wall opposite the dais and the other on a rolling stand. Both are in good <br />condition and seem to operate well.
