Page 1 of 2 <br />DATE: April 12, 2021 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />David Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: David Swearingen, Interim Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Hamline Avenue Crosswalks and Shorewood Drive Drainage Improvements - <br />Contract Award <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br /> $210,000.00 $213,507.35 PIR, Ramsey County Participation & <br /> Surface Water Fund <br /> Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• Resolution 2021-019 Accepting Bid and Awarding the Hamline Avenue Crosswalks and <br />Shorewood Drive Drainage Improvements Contract to Pember Companies, Inc. in the <br />amount of $133,421.65. <br /> <br />All items need a simple majority for action unless otherwise noted. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />On February 25, 2019, the City Council approved a professional services contract with HR <br />Green for Hamline Avenue Crosswalk Improvements. On February 24, 2020, the City Council <br />approved a professional services agreement with HR Green for the design of the City Hall <br />Parking Lot & Shorewood Drive Drainage Improvements which would also include the Hamline <br />Avenue Crosswalks all in one plan set. On December 14, 2020, the City Council amended the <br />professional services agreement to split the plans into two separate plans, one of which is the <br />presented Hamline Avenue Crosswalks and Shorewood Drive Drainage Improvements. <br /> <br />On February 8, 2021, plans and specifications were approved by the City Council and bids were <br />opened on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 6G <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br />
