From:Kate Olson
To:David Swearingen
Subject:Trail on old Snelling
Date:Wednesday, February 17, 2021 5:32:51 PM
Caution: This email originated outside our organization; please use caution.
Hello
I am writing to voice my opinion on the trail on old Snelling between Snelling and cty rd e.
When I moved here from Minneapolis, I was immediately disappointed to see the lack of trails
for pedestrian safety. However was excited when I researched all the proposed trails and felt
confident that Arden hills would progress forward like all the surrounding cities and make
pedestrian safety a priority.
The trail along old Snelling is a key trail that would begin connect us to so much commerce in
Roseville. It would benefit families that live south of cty rd E to be able to feel confident thee
we it kids could bike and walk to school safely.
I understand the cost is high, but if this trail does not happen because of cost, I can only
foresee that if cost becomes the issue this time, then it will continue to be the reason and none
of the proposed trails will happen.
How do other cities manage to find money to build trails?
