From:John Hoffmann
To:David Swearingen
Subject:Re: Public Comment for Snelling Ave N and Co E improvement project
Date:Monday, March 8, 2021 9:01:21 PM
Attachments:image001.jpg
Caution: This email originated outside our organization; please use caution.
Hello David,
Thank you for the quick reply and detailed response! It was very informative. With that being
said, my overall opinion is there has been turnover in the neighbors along old Snelling ave and
a lot of new active families with small children have moved in. Along with the increased
college rentals, there is a lot of pedestrian traffic on Old Snelling. Safety improvements for
pedestrians are needed along that stretch of road and I think the best option is alternative one
with the trail. I also agree that there is a need for a path by the High School, but I don't think
this should be framed as a "either or "situation. With generational low interest rates, bonding
should be considered as well to improve the safety of old snelling and replace the water main
when the city controls the timing of the fix.
Thank you for considering my opinion.
John
On Mon, Mar 1, 2021 at 10:41 AM David Swearingen <DSwearingen@cityofardenhills.org>
wrote:
John,
Thank you for providing feedback for this project, it is appreciated especially during the
planning phase.
