ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – MAY 24, 2021 15 <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken. The amendment to add Condition 23 carried <br />3-2 (Councilmembers Holmes and Scott opposed). <br /> <br />AMENDMENT: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded <br />a motion to add Condition 24 to read: The landscaping along the west <br />property line on hotel property will be maintained by Chick-Fil-A. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken. The amendment to add Condition 24 carried <br />(5-0). <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden asked if she could add a condition requiring the canopy lights in each <br />lane to be placed on a separate switch. <br /> <br />City Attorney Jamnik reported this could be done and noted a glare shield could also be <br />required. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember McClung <br />seconded a motion to add Condition 25 to read: The canopy lights in <br />each lane shall be put on separate switches. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes believed this condition was too cumbersome for the applicant. She <br />noted the hotel would have lights on in the parking lot. She indicated she would not be supporting <br />this condition. <br /> <br />Councilmember Scott anticipated turning off the lights in one lane of the drive thru would not <br />greatly impact the adjacent hotel. For this reason, he would not be supporting the amendment. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant commented he believed it was wise to have the lanes on separate switches and that <br />this was best done up front. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken. The amendment to add Condition 25 carried <br />3-2 (Councilmembers Holmes and Scott opposed) <br /> <br />AMENDMENT: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember McClung <br />seconded a motion to add Condition 26 to read: The western most <br />canopy will have its lights shut off at 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken. The amendment to add Condition 26 carried <br />3-2 (Councilmembers Holmes and Scott opposed). <br /> <br />AMENDMENT: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember McClung <br />seconded a motion to add Condition 27 to read: A stop sign shall be <br />installed at Red Fox Road. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes questioned why the proposed stop sign was 16 feet back. <br />
