Snelling Avenue North Street and Utility Improvements | City of Arden Hills <br />4Project Team <br />Brad Fisher, PE <br />Project Engineer <br />Brad will work with the team to ensure <br />the street and utility improvements are <br />buildable and meet the necessary requirements. <br />Brad began his engineering career in 2014. He has worked <br />on many municipal projects consisting of roadway design, <br />including municipal state aid design and utilities such as <br />sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer. Brad completes <br />project planning, design, and preparation of construction <br />plans and specifications. His design experience includes <br />preliminary and final design, preliminary layout and design, <br />preparation of feasibility reports, preparation of construction <br />plans and specifications, preparation of quantity take-offs <br />and cost estimates, and project documentation. As an area construction <br />manager, he is responsible for construction administration, <br />construction observation, and general oversight of Bolton <br />& Menk construction service delivery for numerous <br />municipal improvement projects and staff. Nick’s <br />construction administration experience includes work <br />on several street and utility reconstruction projects. He will coordinate with our <br />survey drafters to implement field shots into an <br />AutoCAD drawing for plan use and will manage <br />survey staking requests through construction. Eric <br />has been involved with past projects for Arden Hills <br />and is familiar with the community. Eric began his <br />surveying career with Bolton & Menk in 2004. He manages <br />survey operations for the firm’s south metro locations. He <br />likes to complete projects that have complex and challenging <br />right-of-way and boundary determinations. Eric is very detail <br />orientated, and he strives to produce the best possible product <br />for clients while keeping budget in mind. He is responsible <br />for crew scheduling and coordination; professional reviews <br />and determinations; research; and preparing, calculating, <br />interpreting, and writing legal descriptions. He also provides <br />quality assurance and quality control on projects to ensure <br />project scopes are complete. Eric is proficient in Civil 3D <br />and Trimble Business Center. <br />Mitch Hoeft, PE <br />Senior Trenchless Utilities Engineer <br />Mitch brings substantial trenchless <br />utility rehabilitation and maintenance <br />experience to this project. He joined Bolton & Menk <br />in 2018, having left a role as regional representative <br />of a national trenchless contractor. In that role, <br />Mitch was responsible for bidding and scheduling <br />trenchless pipeline rehabilitation work as well as <br />coordinating with cities and engineers on product <br />selection and specification writing. Mitch is a principal <br />engineer who began his engineering career in 2008 with <br />the City of Golden Valley. During his years there, Mitch <br />represented the city on the Joint Water Commission <br />(JWC) with partner cities Crystal and New Hope. <br />Mitch developed expertise with a variety of watermain <br />replacement techniques, including trenchless strategies <br />for unique situations. Mitch specializes in trenchless <br />utility rehabilitation and municipal engineering services. <br />For the City of Arden Hills, he will lead the project's <br />trenchless watermain improvement designs. Mitch will also <br />review provided sewer video to gauge whether trenchless <br />improvements are needed for the sanitary sewer segment <br />crossing Old Snelling Avenue. Mitch is also involved in <br />various organizations throughout the Upper Midwest and <br />strives to establish connections within all aspects of public <br />works. Connecting people and services is what drew Mitch <br />to engineering, and he believes each project is unique and <br />works to address each need in a way that is cost-effective, <br />politically acceptable, and minimally intrusive.
