(HR Green) is pleased to provide you with our proposal to complete an Emergency <br />Response Plan (ERP) for the City of Arden Hills. Attached is an amendment for your review and <br />signature to authorize us to complete this work. The amendment adds the scope of the ERP to our <br />previous contract for the Risk & Resilience Assessment (RRA). The ERP was originally excluded from <br />the scope of the RRA at the request of the then Public Works Director / City Engineer, Todd <br />Blomstrom. Todd wanted to split the work up into parts to give the City the chance to tailor the ERP <br />following the lessons of the RRA. Now that we have successfully completed the RRA the city has had <br />the opportunity to work with our experienced team and is in a good position to evaluate the merits of <br />continuing with our firm to complete this next phase. Given the work we have already completed we <br />are in position to provide a high-quality plan to you that incorporates the lessons we learned during the <br />RRA process. <br /> <br />Since its founding in 1913, HR Green ’s 500+ staff have enjoyed a reputation for innovation, <br />community leadership, and accountability to the engineering and business concerns of its clients. Our <br />local staff includes one of the largest and most experienced water engineering teams in the state. In <br />addition, we offer the following for your consideration: <br />1. Familiarity with City & Water System– HR Green has successfully completed your <br />RRA and several Capital Improvement Projects for the City of Arden Hills, including <br />work on the same infrastructure that is going to be evaluated with this project. <br />2. Technical Experience – We have completed numerous VAs and RRAs for other <br />similar sized communities around the region. Concurrent with this project we will <br />simultaneously be completing numerous ERPs for other similar sized communities. <br />With the experience of these projects, we are up to speed with the requirements of <br />the AWIA and ready to assist the City of Arden Hills with your ERP. <br />
