Traffic Study <br />Lexington Avenue Reconstruction <br /> <br /> <br />Alliant No. 118-0186.0 31 <br />April 18, 2019 <br />Additional Improvements <br />x Alternative 0 – Corridor Improvements (Baseline Improvements) <br />o Replace traffic signal infrastructure as needed throughout the Lexington Avenue <br />corridor from the I-694 WB Ramp Terminal (north end) intersection through CR E <br />(south end) <br />o Update signal timing throughout the Lexington Avenue corridor from CR F (north end) <br />through CR E (south end) <br />ƒ Provide FYA left-turn operations <br />ƒ Provide a leading pedestrian interval (LPI) upon actuation to improve pedestrian <br />visibility/comfort at all signalized intersections <br />o Replace existing continuous TWLTL with a raised median throughout the <br />Lexington Avenue corridor from Red Fox Road (north end) to CR E (south end) <br />ƒ Provide pocket left-turn lanes at all signalized intersections <br />x Alternatives 1/2 <br />o No additional improvements <br />x Alternative 3 – County Road E Intersection Improvements <br />o Modify the WB approach median to offset the left-turn lane further south to allow the <br />EB/WB left-turns to operate simultaneously (eliminate split EB/WB phasing) <br />ƒ Would require a new 55-foot mast arm in addition to a 5-foot mast arm extender <br />for the WB traffic signal indications (NW quadrant signal pole) <br />o EB/WB protective/permissive FYA left-turn phasing <br />x Alternative 4 – I-694 EB Ramp Intersection Improvements <br />o Extend NB right-turn lane to minimize the potential for through queues blocking <br />o Modify Exxon gas station access to right-out only <br />x Alternative 5 <br />o No additional improvements <br />
