Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 7M <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: October 25, 2021 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Jessica Jagoe, Senior Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Planning Case #21-020 – Bethel University Planned Unit Development <br />Amendment <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• Amended Planned Unit Development Agreement with Bethel University based on the <br />City Council approval of Planning Case 21-020 on September 27, 2021. <br /> <br />This item requires a simple majority. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />On September 27, 2021, the City Council approved a Planned Unit Development Amendment for <br />Bethel University at 2 Pine Tree Drive and Outlot A for flexibility to sign dimensional standards <br />in order to increase the allowable sign area for the multi-tenant freestanding sign within the 2 Pine <br />Tree North Plat. The application was seeking flexibility under the PUD to allow sign standards as <br />permitted under Sign District 4. <br /> <br />This requires an Amendment to the Development Agreement between the City and the <br />“Developer”. The City Attorney has prepared the Amended Agreement and the document has been <br />reviewed and approved by the Applicant and staff (Attachment A). <br /> <br />Options and Motion Language <br /> <br />Staff has provided the following motion language for this case.
