Requirements for Parking, Loading, and Circulation – Section 1325.06 – Meets Requirements <br />Parking requirements for places of worship require 1 space for every 3 seats. The applicant has <br />indicated the main auditorium will seat up to 1,000, while the youth auditorium will seat up to 112. <br />Therefore, this use requires a total of 371 parking spaces. There are currently 363 parking spaces <br />on the site. The applicant is proposing to remove 2 spaces to accommodate the new front entry, <br />and add 19 new spaces at the rear of the buildings, to provide a total of 380 parking spaces. <br /> <br />The applicant has indicated the 2nd floor church space will be used in the future for a variety of <br />purposes, including offices, midweek meeting space, classrooms, and similar office functions. No <br />specific uses have been provided for the leased space. The Zoning Ordinance allows joint parking <br />facilities if it can be demonstrated that there will be no substantial conflict in the principal operating <br />hours of the uses to be served. It is unlikely the church use and the office uses would overlap or <br />conflict with one another, so the 380 spaces provided should serve the needs of the facility. <br /> <br />H. Trash Enclosure – Meets Requirements <br />The applicant is proposing to maintain the existing dumpster on the north side of the building. <br /> <br />2. Sign Code – Chapter 12 <br />This property is located in Sign District 7. This district allows freestanding signs 8’ in height and <br />up to 25 square feet in area and wall signs not to exceed 45 square feet. The sign plans are shown <br />on Attachment I. <br /> <br />Freestanding Signs – Meets Requirements <br />The applicant is proposing to utilize the existing monument sign on the south side of the property <br />at the east driveway by changing the sign face. <br />
