Public Works Director / City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Feasibility Study – Proposed Trail from Lake Valentine Road to CR-96 <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $50,000 $22,861 PIR Fund <br /> <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• HR Green to update the December 2008 Old Snelling Ave / Old Highway 10 Trail <br />Feasibility Study of the proposed trail segment along Old Highway 10 from Lake <br />Valentine Road to County Road 96 and prepare a geotechnical report in the amount of <br />$22,861. <br /> <br />All items need a simple majority for action unless otherwise noted. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />At the December 20, 2021 Work Session Council indicated to staff to initiate work with HR <br />Green to update the December 2008 Old Snelling Ave / Old Highway 10 Trail Feasibility Study <br />of the proposed trail segment along Old Highway 10 from Lake Valentine Road to County Road <br />96 and prepare a geotechnical report. <br /> <br />The corridor for the proposed trail segment can be seen in Attachment A as the “Old HWY 10 <br />Trail”. This trail would be a 6,500-foot North-South connecting segment along Old Highway 10 <br />from Lake Valentine Road to CR-96. At the southern end of the corridor there is an existing trail
