The Public
Safety Commission, with advice from the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department, feels that
signage/stationery traffic control devices are counter productive. The Public Safety
Commission believes that the painting of crosswalks creates safety hazards and hazards to
pedestrians. Mr. Delger stated that in order for an area to be considered for stripping, it must
meet legal requirements, and there must be a request in writing sent to the Public Works
Director by Staff, resident or member of the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department.
The Parks Commission asked that areas that were previously stripped before last year's
construction be re-stripped.
TRAIL & PARK COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Kathy O'Connell, Consultant with McCoombs, Frank, Roos Associates, Inc.
