Walsh, Parks and Recreation Director <br /> SUBJECT: April Agenda Report <br /> Review of Trail Comprehensive Plan <br /> I will have a revised copy of the proposed trail comprehensive plan at the meeting. The revised <br /> map will include the changes discussed by the Commission at last month's meeting. <br /> Park Fund Budget Planning <br /> The Park Fund currently has an approximate balance of$470,000. At a previous meeting, the <br /> Commission listed the following as the top park and trail improvement projects: <br /> Park Improvement Projects <br /> 1. Ingerson Park - development of a soccer field (or the addition of a soccer field somewhere in <br /> • the City). <br /> 2. Arden Manor Park - improving the hard court area when drainage is corrected <br /> 3. Crepeau Park - possibility of adding a play structure or improving trails <br /> 4. Freeway and Lindey's Park Redevelopment <br /> 5. Paving Hockey Rink Areas <br /> 6. New Shelter Buildings at Freeway and Hazelnut Parks <br /> Trail Segment Improvements <br /> 1. County Road F on East side of City <br /> 2. New Brighton Road <br /> 3. County Road E2 <br /> 4. Old Highway 10 <br /> 5. Cleveland Avenue - Is this a priority or are their others? <br /> 6. County Road E Bridge - adding a pedestrian crossing on one or both sides <br /> The Commission needs to prioritize the projects so that costs can be estimated. This is the next <br /> step in developing a plan for spending down the Park Fund. <br /> Proram and Director's Report <br /> Tracy Petersen and I will update you on activities and new events at the meeting. We will also <br /> be discussing the itinerary for the 1998 Day in the Park at Hazelnut Park. <br /> 0 <br />
