MINUTES <br /> APRIL 23, 1991 <br /> • CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Arden Hills Park and <br /> Recreation Commission was called to order at 7 : 35 <br /> PM by Chairman David Sand. <br /> ROLL CALL Present: Chairman Sand, Mary Gillies, Mark Labine, <br /> Mark Magers, Don Messerly, Dave Moberg, Alan <br /> Montgomery, Megan Ricke. <br /> Absent: Keith Enrooth, Pattie Green, Carol <br /> Johnson. Also present: Mayor Tom Sather, Cynthia <br /> Severtson, and John Buckley. <br /> APPROVE Minutes of the February 26 meeting were approved as <br /> MINUTES mailed. <br /> PARR DEDICATION <br /> ORDINANCE The Commission reviewed the revised Park Dedication <br /> Ordinance prepared by City Attorney Jerry Filla. <br /> There were no objections to the revision. <br /> 1991 PARR <br /> DEVELOPMENT Chairman Sand informed the Committee on the Council <br /> April 15 work session. He stated that Council- <br /> members were concerned about a change in focus on <br /> . improving internal pathways over interconnecting <br /> trails. 1991 park improvements were budgeted at <br /> $56, 300 . Council wanted a specific list of <br /> prioritized park improvements that could be <br /> accomplished within the budgeted amount. Council <br /> also wanted prioritized additional park <br /> improvements with suggestions for funding the <br /> additional improvements and rationale for exceeding <br /> the budgeted amount. <br /> Council would like a prioritized list of long-range <br /> park planning and associated costs for obtaining <br /> land, maintenance and personnel. Council would <br /> like a long-term projection for managing the Park <br /> Fund. Emphasis in keeping the Fund Balance and <br /> using the interest for park improvements. <br /> Buckley presented the committee a proposed 5 year <br /> park development plan to review. He stated that <br /> his priority would be <br /> #1 - Complete the color coating and overlay $14 , 804 <br /> #2 - Repair hockey light and trail benches 5, 000 <br /> #3 - Perimeter Trail Cummings and Hazelnut 45 , 777 <br /> $65 , 581 <br /> • #4 - Perimeter Trail Floral $23 , 268 <br />
