Page 2 February 26, 1991 Park Minutes <br /> . H. Alexander was satisfied with the present and proposed <br /> development of the park. He and his grandchildren use the park. <br /> K. Wilson lived on the park for years and has enjoyed the <br /> openness of the park. He has observed over the years park useage <br /> by children and adults. "It has the best sliding hill around. ,, <br /> M. Flor observed the park being used a lot by children sliding <br /> and playing on play structures. The basketball court is used by <br /> Young adults. Adults spend their lunch time in the park. She <br /> did not like the satelite outside her kitchen window in the <br /> parking lot. (Satelite was placed in park during summer <br /> playgrounds time) . <br /> J. Folsom walks frequently in the park. It is ok for people to <br /> "cut through" their property to get to the park. She would like <br /> a tennis court in the park. <br /> The residents did not object to the picnic shelter or tennis <br /> court. <br /> Buckley stated that there is no immediate solution to a western <br /> park access. A strong response from the neighborhood would help <br /> indicate the necessity for securing an additional entrance. <br /> OATH David Moberg completed his Oath of Office. <br /> COUNCIL REPORT Councilme mber Hansen reported: <br /> - Council will be doing some road improvements and seal coating <br /> this Spring. <br /> - A street assessment policy is being prepared to help finance <br /> these improvements. <br /> - Council and Dept. heads participated in a goal setting <br /> session. The outcome was to improve personnel policy system, <br /> work on equality in wages and study and resolve the water <br /> loss problem. <br /> The Co. Rd. D/Cleveland intersection is scheduled for <br /> upgrading this summer. <br /> Mayor Sather reported: <br /> Council is concerned about the image and knowledge citizens <br /> have regarding the City. <br /> Council and staff will be exploring more effective ways of <br /> telling the "Arden Hills Story" . <br /> • - Council is considering changes and improvements in the <br /> Popular Town Crier. <br />
