BUSINESS - Buckley informed the Committee of the Valentine <br /> • Hills PTO enrichment class project for the elementary students. <br /> The class survey and enrichment class interest was reviewed by <br /> the Committee. Four enrichment classes have been included in <br /> the Spring Program Flyer. <br /> ADAPTIVE RECREATION OPPORTUNITIES - Mounds View School District <br /> 621, Arden Hills, Mounds View, New Brighton and Shoreview Parks <br /> and Rec. Department are co-sponsoring Adaptive Recreation <br /> Activities for individuals with special needs. The activities <br /> include: Friday Night Live Social Club (teens/young adults) <br /> Saturday Fun and Play Social Club (elementary age) <br /> Bowling (fall, winter, spring) <br /> Swimming (winter and spring) <br /> Special Olympics Track (spring) <br /> Family fees do not cover the cost of these programs. Cost of <br /> supervision and instruction is high to meet the student/ <br /> instructor ratio to have a successful safe program. The Mounds <br /> View Light Brigade donated $3 , 200 at their March 5, 1990 Board <br /> meeting to help finance the programs . <br /> MEETING ADJOURNED at 9 : 45 P.M. <br /> • <br />
