MISSION STATEMENT <br /> The purpose of the mission statement is to describe, in <br /> a relatively short verse, the duty or function of the Inver <br /> Grove Heights Park System. In essence, it is, by <br /> definition, the focal point of the Park System by which <br /> all the goals, objectives, and policy statements are <br /> derived; <br /> Through careful analysis and discussion, the Park <br /> . Commission, City staff, and the Planning Team <br /> developed a mission statement which is indicative and <br /> reflective of the attitudes and perceptions of the <br /> community as brought out through the needs <br /> assessment survey neighborhood meetings. <br /> The mission statement is as follows: <br /> "The purpose of the Inver Grove Heights Park <br /> System is to provide, in as cost effective manner as <br /> possible, a comprehensive, balanced, well <br /> maintained systems of parks, open space, trails and <br /> leisure oriented activities/programs for all Inver <br /> Grove Heights residents to utilize and enjoy." <br />
