r <br /> • MINUTES <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1996 <br /> 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. <br /> ARMY RESERVE CENTER <br /> LEXINGTON AVENUE AND HIGHWAY 96 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairperson, Megan Ricke called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present were Chair Megan Ricke, Don Messerly, Anita Larson, Mary Robinson, <br /> Dorothy McClung, Council Liaison; Susan Keim, Cindy Walsh, Parks & Recreation <br /> Director; and Tracy Petersen, Program Supervisor. <br /> Absent were Louis Speggen and Lynette Kreidler. <br /> APPROVE MINUTES <br /> • Minutes recorded by Julie Tostenson. The September 24, 1996 Minutes were approved <br /> unanimously. Motion by Megan Ricke and seconded by Don Messerly to approve the <br /> Minutes. <br /> COUNCIL REPORT <br /> Susan Keim stated that the City Council is looking into revising the Committees in 1997. <br /> The City Council is considering making the Committees into a Task Force and give each <br /> Task Force a specific issue to work on. It was determined that the Parks and Recreation <br /> Committee and Planning Commission would stay. <br /> The City Council is contemplating building a commercial building to house City Hall on <br /> the same site as the current City Hall location, except further down on Highway 96 by <br /> Children's World. The Council is considering building a commercial building to get re- <br /> sale value, if they were to sell and re-build a City Hall on the Arsenal property. <br /> • 1 <br />
