Public Works Director / City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Lift Station Rehabilitation – Lift Station 14 <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br /> $90,000 $116,200 Sanitary Sewer Fund <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br /> <br />• Quote for replacement of the control panel and pump at Lift Station 14 in the amount of <br />$116,200 from Electric Pump. <br /> <br />All items need a simple majority for action unless otherwise noted. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />The City has maintained a program to refurbish and update sanitary sewer lift stations on a 10- <br />year cycle for reliability, technology and risk management. The proposed improvements <br />continue this program for the 14 sanitary lift stations within the City's wastewater collection <br />system. The City’s Capital Improvement Program identifies rehabilitation work for Lift Station <br />No. 14 located off Hamline Avenue near the Public Works facility. The proposed improvement <br />includes replacing the control panel and one of the pumps. Lift Station 14 is the final lift station <br />that needs a control panel upgrade and Public Works will restart the 10-year cycle of the <br />program. <br /> <br />Below is the list of proposed rehabilitation projects for lift stations from the 2022-2026 CIP: <br /> <br />• Lift Station 14 - Pump and panel (2022) $90,000 <br />• Lift Station 5 - Forcemain (2023) $300,000 <br />• Lift Station 8 - Pumps, base and electronics (2027) $90,000 <br />• Lift Station 2 - Pumps, base and electronics (2028) $75,000 <br />• Lift Station 5 - Pumps, base and electronics (2029) $77,000 <br />• Lift Station 7 - Pumps, base and electronics (2030) $80,000 <br /> CONSENT ITEM – 6D <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br />
