He explained that he has ten digital photographs of various parks in the area and asked the <br /> Committee for their preferences. He offered to scan any additional photographs the Committee <br /> might be interested in including. <br /> Committee Member Tix suggested that they use a picture of a park in Arden Hills. Committee <br /> Member Crassweller agreed and asked Ms. Olson to pull the photographs together and provide <br /> them to Greg Ingraham <br /> Council Liaison Larson suggested using pictures from the Recreation Guide. Ms. Olson agreed <br /> and referenced the photographs that they have of Valentine Park. <br /> Mr. Ingraham stated that he has received positive feedback regarding the information that has <br /> been made available on the web and recommended that they continue to use the web as a tool for <br /> communication. He reviewed the maps with the Committee and suggested that they keep the text <br /> on the plan to point out the parking options. <br /> Committee Member Straumann asked if they really want to include the graphic in the guide. <br /> Ms. Olson stated that the Fair Isaacs proposal includes a building and suggested that it be <br /> referenced. Council Liaison Larson stated that they would have to come before the City Council <br /> for approval. Mr. Ingraham suggested including it to show the placement stating that they have a <br /> • park that is land locked and they need to clarify the access. <br /> Mr. Ingraham clarified that they would reinforce and that the Committee would continue to work <br /> with Fair Isaacs as they move forward. He stated that they had received several comments <br /> regarding Lindy's corner. He stated that they have received several good comments and that the <br /> Residents would like them to replace the backstop. He further stated that the Residents did not <br /> think the trail was necessary and asked for benches in the area. He stated that this issue should <br /> be addressed and asked the Committee for feedback. <br /> Mr. Moore explained that they removed the backstop because it was old and not being used. <br /> Committee Member Crassweller agreed that the backstop has had a useful life and stated that <br /> many people still play ball, as it is such a wonderful,wide-open space for them to play. He <br /> acknowledged that they do not have a pitching mound or base and suggested placing benches and <br /> the backstop as it is a simple, easy and inexpensive solution by allowing it to be a natural, open <br /> space for everyone to use. <br /> Committee Member Tix asked if Mr. Moore had received any calls when they took the backstop <br /> down. Mr. Moore confirmed he had not received any calls. <br /> Committee Member Thompson expressed concerns noting that there is a potential safety issue to <br /> consider due to the busy intersection near the park and suggested that they wait to make a <br /> • decision regarding the backstop. She expressed her agreement with Mr. Moore and stated that <br /> she does not consider this to be a priority. <br />
