Page 2 <br /> 10-15-84 approved name change <br /> 11-19-84 received $750 donation for Crepeau development <br /> - a gift and endowment program will be submitted to Committee for review <br /> in early 1985 <br /> TRAIL DEVELOPMENT <br /> The Tooker Report mentioned the Communities System. He felt the functional <br /> and recreational usage of Village trails could be invaluable to residents. <br /> - a trail systems report was submitted to the Parks Committee for <br /> review on September 18, 1984 <br /> - trail maintenance (grading b mowing) was increased this summer <br /> 8 fall <br /> - community trail maps will be published semi-annually through <br /> the Town Crier <br /> - spring for hiking <br /> - winter for cross country skiers <br /> - rest benches will be installed along some trails during Spring 1985 <br /> PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT <br /> . - program activities are evaluated and reviewed by Parks Committee <br /> four times yearly <br /> - The Tooker Report mentioned that a community survey could be a valuable <br /> tool in evaluating and reviewing programs <br /> 9-18-84 Bio Centric, Inc. presented a survey proposal to the <br /> Parks Committee <br /> 10-4-84 Parks Committee, Sub-Committee review of Bio Centre, Inc. <br /> proposal <br /> 10-9-84 Parks Committee recommendation on Bio Centric, Inc. proposal <br /> - some program evaluations will be conducted thru the Town Crier <br /> VOLUNTEER COACHES CLINIC <br /> Volunteers are used to lead 8 coach many of the youth activities. Coaches clinics <br /> are valuable In preparing the volunteers for these activities. This preparation <br /> increases the quality of the experience for both youth and adults. <br /> - During 1984, clinics we-e held for the basketball , softball and <br /> T-ball coaches. Zig Kauls, Mounds View High School Varsity Basketball <br /> Coach, presented helpful demonstrations on basic basketball offensives <br /> and defensives. National Youth Sports Coaches Association video tapes <br /> were also shown to help the coaches understand the physical limitations <br /> psychology of working with youth. <br /> I will be working with the newly formed Mustang Basketball Association <br /> in establishing a training program for their basketball leaders <br /> Leaders Training Clinics will be conducted for T-Ball and softball <br /> leaders this spring <br />
