Buckley <br /> SUBJECT: Management goals for 1984 <br /> With assistance from Councilman Mulcahy, I prepared some management goals for 1984. <br /> Many of these goals were based on the recommendation from the Evaluation Report <br /> of the Arden Hills Parks & Recreation Dept. Parks & Programs prepared by Charles <br /> Tooker in October 1983. These management goals were approved by the Council on <br /> July 30, 1984. <br /> COUNCIL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT GOALS <br /> Council members received information memos: <br /> - explaining the programs sponsored by the department <br /> - clarifying & requesting expenditures <br /> - reports submitted for Council review <br /> 2-23-84 Report on 1983 Diseased Tree Program <br /> 4-5-84 Results & Recommendations for 1984 Diseased Tree Removal Contract <br /> . 3-12-64 Winter Skating Program & Rink Use Report <br /> 7-31-84 Review of Income & Expenditures of Youth & Adult Programs <br /> 8-1-84 Summer Playground Program Report <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> Productive Committee members are nurtured through commitment & Involvement. A <br /> special effort has been made to involve Committee members with all aspects of parks <br /> and program decisions & activities. <br /> - department programs are reviewed & evaluated quarterly <br /> - guidelines for park development are reviewed and updated annually; <br /> latest review was July 15, 1984 <br /> - Crepeau Park development was submitted to the Parks Committee and <br /> Council for review and approval <br /> 7-9-84 Council approved Crepeau Park development expenditures up <br /> to $1 ,500 <br /> 8-27-84 Council approved wild flower expenditures of $227 <br /> 9-26-84 Crepeau Preserve Dam Project approved by Rice Creek Watershed Dist. <br /> • 9-29-84 Crepeau Park work session <br />
