The major goals identified for a survey <br /> identified <br /> were agreed upon as , with one addition: <br /> 1. To determine whether the neighborhood parks are being developed in a way <br /> that meets the needs of Arden Hills residents. <br /> 2. To determine whether current programming efforts are meeting their needs. <br /> add: 3. To determine whether or not the pathway system is designed and developed <br /> in a way that meets the needs of the community. <br /> EXISTING METHODS OF OBTAINING INFORMATION WERE DISCUSSED: <br /> 1. Parks and Recreation Committee feedback. <br /> 2. Level of Program participation as an indicator of program popularity. <br /> 3. Observation of park use. <br /> 4. Input by special interest groups, i.e. , softball leagues, soccer teams, etc. <br /> 5. Input T_ citizen groups: <br /> a. citizens like Royal Oaks, those bordering trails, etc. <br /> b. Citizens for programs for the handicapped, retarded, senior citizens. <br /> 6. Surveys by other communities. <br /> General trends or fads for particular programs or facilities. <br /> 8. Direct comments to John Buckley from users. <br /> ADDITIONAL METHODS OF OBTAINING INPUT WERE SUGGESTED (Other than survey) <br /> 1. Publicize Parks Committee park tour and invite residents to meet the <br /> Committee at their park. <br /> 2. Have (when appropriate) items in the Town Crier regarding parks new <br /> or activities. Could include program news, development news, etc. <br /> and an invitation to comment on a particular issue could be included. <br /> The feeling was that we are now getting a lot of good feedback and information <br /> from the citizens. The question was: <br /> WHO ARE WE NOT HEARING FROM OR WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION ARE WE NOW LACKING, <br /> IF ANY? <br /> i <br /> 1.
