Minutes of Regular Parks and Recreation August 14, 1984 <br /> Page three <br /> • - Mulcahy said there is a need for ball field and suggested this <br /> could be included in the North Heights Dedication Area. <br /> It was also expressed that if the developer cannot set aside <br /> sufficient amount of acreage for Park Dedication. They must <br /> give a determined portion of money or a combination of so much <br /> money and land. <br /> It was decided that the Architect should come back and give more <br /> information as to what their plans are before further action <br /> from Parks and Recreation. <br /> - Sand announced that the Planning Committee would meet on the <br /> following evening - Wednesday, August 15th at 7 :30 p.m. . They <br /> would be meeting with the North Height Representatives and <br /> everyone interested was encouraged to attend . <br /> Council Report <br /> T. Mulcahy reported on the following: <br /> A. Cable T.V. boxes <br /> - Mulcahy said cable wires are put underground where other <br /> utilities are under the ground. But there will be Cable Boxes <br /> placed in every other yard where the wires are buried and many <br /> feel this will add to the visual pollution. <br /> • - The smaller boxes will be buried but the big ones will be <br /> buried only for a fee of $125 .00 to the individual homeowners . <br /> - Sand wonders if there will be boxes in front of our parks . <br /> - Mulcahy said they' ll get the answers on a report at the next <br /> meeting on the Cable Commission. <br /> B. Roseville Bank Expansion <br /> - The Roseville Bank is planning to redesign into a two-story <br /> bank. With this expansion, there should be some recovery of <br /> Park Dedication area. <br /> - Sand appreciated Mulcahy' s bringing this to the Park Committee' s <br /> attention. <br /> - The berming will be removed in an effort to enhance the bank' s <br /> image. <br /> C. Approval of Fall Park Programs <br /> Tne Council reviewed the Fall Park Programs as recommended by <br /> the Parks Committee. They approved the 1984 Fall Program as <br /> presented and recommended that the Parks Committee review the <br /> need for a basketball program. <br /> • D. Management Goals for 1984 <br /> J . Buckley' s management goals as Park Director for 1984 were <br /> received and approved by the Council. <br /> E. Karth Lake Pumping <br /> Mulcahy informed the Committee that the pumping at Karth Lake <br /> had been finished at no extra cost to the residents . <br />
