f <br /> Minutes of Park and Recreation Committee Leeting July 24, 1984 <br /> Page Three <br /> • Miscellaneous Business <br /> Tennis Court Progress- <br /> Buckley brought the Committee urn to date on the Tennis Court. The sites have <br /> been established, grading done, base and asphalt will be completed within <br /> the next two weeks. <br /> Walkways- <br /> The walkways in Karth Lake. Circle were discussed. It was suggested that Buckley <br /> and Klick should go and talk to the residents. The walkway will be patio blocks <br /> and marked with trail markers. It was thought that some residents will not like <br /> it but there is an easement an3 it will make it a safer way to go to the Park. <br /> It was also stated that the longer they wait for the walkway, the more difficult. <br /> Buckley and Klick will decide haw to proceed on the issue. <br /> Park Complaint <br /> Kostishack explained that her son played a make-up baseball game for North Sub- <br /> urban Little League at Floral Park on July 16th. She was disappointed in the <br /> condition of the ball field. The outfield grass was long and grass was growing <br /> in the infield area. There were no benches for the team„ <br /> Buckley stated that Floral Field has not been scheduled for youth and adult <br /> league play. Therefore, players' benches have not been installed. Our parks <br /> are scheduled for grass cutting weekly„ During the dry spell in mid July the <br /> grass in some parks have started to turn brown. So some of the parks were <br /> ii,owed every nine to ten days. The grass in the infield area will be mowed this <br /> week. <br /> • <br /> Ara.journment <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 10:45 p.m- <br /> The next Parks and Recreation Committee 1�&etinr will be on August 14, 1984 <br /> 7:30 P. m- <br />
