Motion <br /> I move that the City Planner be authorized to <br /> study the concept and feasibility of a parkway system for <br /> Arden Hills for implementation as part of the Transportation <br /> Plan of the City, such study to include the formation of a <br /> task force consisting of interested members of the Planning <br /> Commission, the Parks Committee and the Parks Liaison <br /> Councilmember; such study to cost no more than $2 ,500 and <br /> include the following activities: <br /> 1 . Establish basic goals and objectives of the <br /> parkway system. <br /> 2 . Identify potential parkway routes. <br /> 3 . Establish typical "cross section" of parkway road <br /> and right-of-way requirements. <br /> 4 . Evaluate the existing streets, rights-of-way, and <br /> adjacent development of potential parkway routes <br /> to determine the physical and financial <br /> feasibility of parkway construction. <br /> 5 . Meet with County Traffic Engineer and City <br /> Engineer. <br /> 6 . Prepare planning graphics for discussion purposes <br /> (potential routes , typical cross-section, problem <br /> areas) . <br /> 7.
