• PARKWAY PLAN STUDY
City of Arden Hills
OBJECTIVE
Preparation of a long-range plan for the development of a
parkway system for Arden Hills to be incorporated into the
Transportation Plan.
APPROACH
The initial investigation/planning stage should include the
following tasks :
1 . Establish basic goals and objectives of the
parkway system.
2 . Identify potential parkway routes.
3 . Establish typical "cross section" of parkway road
and right--,of-way requirements.
4 . Evaluate the existing streets, rights-of-way, and
. adjacent development of potential parkway routes
to determine the physical and financial
feasibility of parkway construction.
5 . Meet with County Traffic Engineer and City
Engineer.
6 . Prepare planning graphics for discussion purposes
(potential routes, typical cross-section, problem
areas) .
7 . Summarize mutual findings and recommendations in
brief report to City Council.
A Task Force comprised of members of the Planning Commission
and Parks Committee and a Council liaison is suggested as
group to work with the Consultant on this planning project.
COST
Not to exceed $2 , 500.
TRM/OWPI:pmg
7-9-84
•
