J- F �+ <br /> Having a special event planned each each week , gave the children <br /> something extra special to get excited about , and look forward to . <br /> The most successful special events were World Records Day , Treat <br /> Day, Earth Ball , and Water Day (which included the WaterSlide) . <br /> STAFF <br /> Staff Orientation- I think the staff orientation went very <br /> well , and provided the staff with enough information to feel <br /> confident for a successful summer . The first day of orientation <br /> covered such areas as a Staff Introduction , First-aid, Program <br /> Philosophy , Games , Crafts , Child Psychology , and a Park Tour. <br /> The second day included the planning of crafts , special events , <br /> field trips , and the deciding of partners and playgrounds . What <br /> the leaders expessed to me to be one of the most helpful things <br /> to happen in the orientation, was getting to know one another, <br /> and becoming friends with each other. <br /> Staff Meetings- Once a week , usually during lunch on <br /> Thursdays , a staff meeting was held . This time gave us a chance <br /> to express and share our problems and successful experiences on <br /> the playgrounds . It was also a time to get flyers made up for <br /> the next week's activities . The meetings also included what <br /> was expected of the leaders on the fields trips . Most of all , <br /> it gave everyone a chance to get together, encourage , and help <br /> each other . <br /> Staff Performance- I think we had a very outstanding staff . <br /> I think the way the leaders were paired proved to be successful. <br /> Becky Jones was a very good leader who showed good enthusiasm and <br /> leadership , She also had a very positive attitude about the <br /> children with whom she worked. The children seemed to like her <br />
