They feel park is over-utilized for softball ; there are not <br /> not enough facilities for neighborhood persons; suggested <br /> tennis courts. <br /> 2. Feel parking is inadequate for number of softball games. <br /> 3. Screening of the park from residents is inadequate; fence <br /> has -fallen down and bushes have not grown . <br /> 4. Bail players are drinking in the park, speeding on New <br /> Brighton Road when leaving park, would like park posted , <br /> and more patrolling in the park. <br /> 5. Residents would like the City of Arden Hills and the <br /> Ramsey County Sheriff ' s Department to post the vicinity of <br /> Perry Park as a "Slow - Children - Reduce Speed" zone. <br /> 6. Would like speed limit on New Brighton Road from County <br /> Road E to County Road E-2 reduced to 30 miles per hour. <br /> There were no residents from the Perry Park area present to ds- <br /> cuss these concerns with the Committee. Mayor Woodburn stated <br /> that Ramsey County Sheriff ' s Department has been asked to patrol <br /> the area more frequently. Buckley stated he had posted "No <br /> Drinking" signs , at Perry Park. They are removed as fast as "hey <br /> are posted. More signs are ordered and will be put up again . <br /> Buckley also stated It Is his intention to reduce scheduling of <br /> field #4 as soon as Cummings Park field is completed , and <br /> eventually convert this field to neighborhood type activities. <br /> All teams using the fields are urged to car pool to alleviate the <br /> parking problem. He also stated that when residents had re- <br /> quested screening previously , they specifically asked for plantings <br /> Instead of permanent fencing , and plants have not grown as <br /> rapidly as hoped , but should become an effective barrier. Snow <br /> fence has been repaired . <br /> Leaf Disposal Site <br /> Woodburn reported that plans are proceeding for a leaf disposal <br /> site on Hudson Road , ,just off New Brighton Road , should be open <br /> this fall . This site will be utilizad by Arden Hills, New <br /> Brighton , and Ramsey County. Ot appears only cost to Arden H ' Ils <br /> will be some work on road into site. Johansen will be projec , <br /> coordinator for Arden Hills, with Buckley as assistant. <br /> • <br />
