MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br /> Parks and Recreation Committee <br /> Tuesday - March 18, 1969 <br /> Present- Boss , Cadwell , LaNasa, Lindbom, McIntosh, Spratt <br /> Absent - Engle, Fish , Kuehn <br /> Also Present - Council Liaison Bjorndahl <br /> The Parks and Recreation Committee met on March 18th, at the home of <br /> Jacqueline Spratt. <br /> Colorado Blue Spruce and Norway Pine seedlings have been ordered and <br /> will be available in May . Ken Boss will check on the pick up date. <br /> The Arden Hills Junior Chamber of Commerce have volunteered to handle <br /> the planting and care of the trees . Approval will be given if this <br /> is cleared legally by Attorney Courtney . <br /> At the April meeting the Committee will review Mr. Jacobson ' s report <br /> on Village parks and will consider further the request made for play <br /> equipment at the County Road E playground. <br /> • The Jaycees would like to help prepare existing baseball diamonds for <br /> Spring use . Mayor Bjorndahl expressed the hope of working with the <br /> School District in this regard. <br /> Notices concerning Oak Wilt were sent out October Ist and February 15th <br /> in compliance with the Village ordinance . A total of 141 trees were <br /> marked, 34 have not been removed to date. There were 474 diseased <br /> trees last year. <br /> The Minneapolis Sewer Department will be contacted for clean fill to <br /> be used to improve Perry Park. <br /> The next meeting will be at 8 :00 p .m. , April 15th , at the home of Herbert <br /> McIntosh , 1975 Jerrold Avenue . <br /> Submitted by Jacqueline Spratt. <br /> • <br />
