• <br /> ARSENAL A concept plan for the athletic field complex must be <br /> ATHLETIC submitted with the request for leasing property at the <br /> COMPLEX Twin Cities Army Ammunition plant. <br /> Two firms, Wehrman, Bergly, Assoc. , and Pyllis R. Hanson submitted costs <br /> for preparing the concept drawing. The quotes were: <br /> Wehrman,Bergly $2, 700 <br /> Phyllis R. Hanson $ 600 to 900 <br /> Ms. Hanson was able to prepare the concept drawings. Arden Hills would <br /> pay 40 % New Brighton 30%; and Mounds View 30%. She prepared three <br /> concept plans for the Park Committee to review. Mulcahy moved, seconded <br /> by McClung, that the plan identified as Concept A be submitted to Council <br /> for approval. Motion carried. <br /> The four Parks Departments, Arden Hills, Mounds View, New Brighton, and <br /> Shoreview are in the process of getting the Concept A approved by their <br /> Park Committees and Councils. When this is completed, it will be <br /> submitted to the Arsenal. <br /> REVIEW The Committee reviewed three reports prepared by <br /> Buckley: 1988 Park Development Report. • <br /> 1989 Park Development Proposal <br /> 1988 Park Revenue received from park <br /> dedications and pull tabs. <br /> 1989 GOALS The Committee will continue discussing 1989 goals at the <br /> February meeting. <br /> MISC. BUSINESS: Messerly announced that the newly formed Arden Hills <br /> Bird Club's first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, <br /> January 26, 1989, 7:30 P.M. at the Messerly home. Any <br /> and all are welcome. <br /> The Committee discussed the possibilities of preparing a 15 minute video <br /> that would show the different city parks and trails. The video could be <br /> shown on cable tv network and given to chambers of commerce for <br /> promotional. <br /> The Committee discussed securing a law student under graduate from the U <br /> of M, Hamline, or William Mitchell, to research the original agreement in <br /> which the Arsenal property was procurred for the Twin City Army Ammunition <br /> Plant. Buckley stated he would make some calls. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 9:20 P.M. <br />
