Maintaining Planning Commission connection with the Round Lake Development. Consider sending Requests for Proposals for the Gateway Business District. 2. Study of Lexington Avenue development/redevelopment, north of County Road E and south of I-694. 3. Review of Zoning Ordinance for modifications; Satellite Dish Antennae, Recreational Vehicles, and a comprehensive review of the code in general. 4. Study filling of wetlands; develop policy and consider encouraging the City to purchase identifiable wetland area for purposes of protecting the wetland. 5. Citywide Trailway System; possible joint study with Parks Committee. 6. Future of the Arsenal property; short term and long term opportunities, possibility of encouraging the Army to relocate, and extent of groundwater contamination. Probst suggested the formation of subcommittees to study the above issues and requested Commission indicate interest in any of the above subjects or offer additional items for study. Clerk Administrator Berger stated he was requested by Council to confer with the Planner to determine the status of the GB District at Round Lake; the matter has been deferred pending discussions with a developer interested in the site. • Members volunteered to serve on the following subcommittees: Petersen - Wetlands study. Petersen stated he would contact Dave Carlson and request his assistance to study this matter. McGraw and Ashbach - Arsenal study. Piotrowski, Winiecki and Zehm - Comprehensive Review of the Zoning Ordinance. Probst - Trailway System Study. NOTE: Commission requested those members not in attendance to review the above subjects and volunteer to serve on a subcommittee at the next meeting. Chairman Probst suggested the first member to volunteer for the subcommittee assignment serve as Chair of the subcommittee. In discussion of the trail system study, Commission requested their preference for dedication of a public pathway system through the Continental Development apartment complex to connect to a citywide pathway system be considered. Planner Bergly displayed a diagram showing a possible connection to the Round Lake trail system, in the event the US Fish & Wildlife service would allow access around the lake. Commission requested Bergly explain the proposed pathway system to Council at • their next regular meeting November 13.
