City of Arden Hills <br /> Park& Trail System Master Plan <br /> Consulting Services ARDEN HILLS PARK AND TRAIL SYSTEM MASTER PLAN <br /> Proposal for: <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Our role will be to work with the city to prepare a park and trail system <br /> master plan that will help guide park revitalization and trail development. <br /> Ingraham&Associates main tasks will be to guide a process and prepare a <br /> plan that will define the vision for what the Arden Hills park system <br /> should be and to help define actions that will allow the city obtain and <br /> maintain that vision. That will be accomplished by listening closely to <br /> resident desires and preparing a plan to meet community needs. Arden <br /> Arden Hills is Hills is changing and the park system needs to keep up with changing <br /> changing and the needs and desires. Parks are a crucial element in community quality of <br /> park system life. It is our job to help Arden Hills prepare a creative plan for the future <br /> needs to keep up that will identify needs and desires and respond to them in a creative and <br /> with changing cost effective manner. <br /> needs and <br /> desires. The I &A team will do the following for Arden Hills: <br /> TASK ONE—FACILITY INVENTORY, RESEARCH AND <br /> ANALYSIS. <br /> Research community growth and demographics. <br /> This work will use local and national demographic and recreation <br /> data and neighborhood and community meetings to help determine <br /> future needs and directions. <br /> Inventory and analyze the existing park system. <br /> Prepare an existing park inventory map based on field visits to each <br /> park and digital aerials and GIS base maps (supplied through the <br /> city). Document initial revitalization needs for each existing park <br /> This will include an on-site analysis of each park by I&A staff and City <br /> recreation and park maintenance staff. <br /> Discuss trends and park elements with the Park Committee. <br /> Present demographic and recreation trends and park element <br /> possibilities (facility photos/slides and examples) and discuss park <br /> system opportunities, constraints, needs and goals with the Park <br /> Committee. <br /> Analyze park and trail system supply and facilities. <br /> This will be done on a neighborhood and community basis to <br /> determine adequacy of existing and future level of service and facility <br /> needs. Local and national standards will be used to help assess <br /> facility and service area needs.
