Proposal QTB172950 February 17, 2023 Page 5 Arsenic by EPA 6020 Copper by EPA 6010 or 6020 Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons listed in Table A-1 of MPCA Guidance Document For the purpose of this proposal, we assume 10 soil samples will be submitted for chemical analysis. Standard Pace Analytical Services quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures will be used. The samples will be analyzed within a turnaround time of approximately 10 working days. Reporting We will prepare a letter report describing our sampling goals, methodology, and results. Approximate sampling locations will be plotted on aerial photographs. The laboratory data will be tabulated and the tables provided to you along with the laboratory report(s). The MPCA Level 1 and Level 2 Soil Reference Values will be included in the table and concentrations exceeding either of those values will be highlighted. Project Schedule We anticipate performing our work according to the following schedule. ■ Drill rig mobilization — within about 4 weeks following receipt of written authorization ■ Geotechnical field exploration —1 day on site to complete the work ■ Pond sediment sampling — 2 days on site to obtain the samples ■ Geotechnical classification and laboratory testing — within 1 to 2 weeks after completion of field exploration ■ Pond sediment subcontract laboratory testing — typically within 2 weeks after completion of field sampling ■ Preliminary results — within 1 week after completion of field exploration; within 2 to 3 weeks after collection of pond sediment samples ■ Final report submittal — within 2 weeks after completion of the field and laboratory testing If we cannot complete our proposed scope of services according to this schedule due to circumstances beyond our control, we may need to revise this proposal prior to completing the remaining tasks.
