Fun! <br />School flyers <br />School newsletter <br />Other: The District has many educational programs aimed at increasing <br />student activities and providing safe environments. These are available to <br />students and families on the District website and reinforced by being <br />included in communications directly with students and parents. Some <br />examples are included in the attachments. <br />Encouragement O her: The Equity Promise program includes three Equity Specialist staff <br />positions dedicated to develop a positive building climate and promote <br />educational equity, achievement and post -secondary readiness for each <br />student. This work often includes providing academic support, cultural <br />mentoring, conflict resolution counseling and bridging access gaps to <br />academic, social and emotional growth opportunities. In addition, the <br />District encourages students to be safe, included and active. From the <br />health and activities programs and publications to the equity promise and <br />inclusion programs. With active staff in these areas, they are not simply <br />documents that are placed on a shelf to collect dust. Staff actively engages <br />students and parents with four additional integrations and equity staff <br />portions, an equity promise scholarship program and an American Indian <br />Education program. These programs have the actual equity council, <br />advisory committees and district staff to ensure outreach and to ensure <br />students and parents are aware of the programs and assistance with <br />engaging and using them. <br />Engineering Engineering study <br />Filled in sidewalk gaps <br />Improved route crossings (crosswalk marking/signs) <br />Other: The district is constantly improving campus and adjacent facilities to <br />improve student safety, access, and availability. The District is a partner on <br />this trail project, as there were several in the past. In addition, the District is <br />currently in the final steps of designing improvements themselves at the <br />main entrance to the high school. Additional parking is being provide for <br />increased capacity and safety, including separated bus and disabled drop <br />off areas and parking, enhanced Lake Valentine crossing with refuge <br />islands, signs and lighting. This trail project has been engineered to 95% <br />plans, which are ready for final review and signature for a construction <br />ready plan set upon funding. <br />N. Project Team Information <br />
