Public Works Director / City Engineer <br />Jeff Frid, Public Works Superintendent <br />SUBJECT: Asset 85321 Vac -Truck Pump Repair <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />$28,500 $11,865.90 Water, Sanitary Sewer, <br />Storm Sewer Fund <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />Purchase of parts and labor to repair the high-pressure water pump of Asset 85321 <br />Vac -Truck in the amount of $11,865.90 <br />Background/Discussion <br />During the annual service and inspection completed by Ramsey County Fleet, it was discovered <br />that the high-pressure water pump has shown signs of cavitation (used to clean sewer lines), and <br />has a cylinder failure that requires parts replacement. The parts total is $10,915.90 and labor to <br />install the parts is $950. This is a critical piece of equipment and required for day to day <br />operations. City Staff recommends ordering the parts as soon as possible to minimize equipment <br />down time. <br />Budget Impact <br />Asset 85321 is utilized on maintenance activities for Water, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer. <br />The purchase of the replacement parts will be covered between those utilities accordingly. <br />Attachments <br />Attachment A: Parts for repair quote <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
