Public Works Director / City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Resolution Approving Plans & Specifications and Order Advertisement for Bids <br />Arden Manor and Floral Park Improvements Project <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />$606,000 — Floral Park $913,993 CDBG Funds, PIR — Parks <br />$249,700 — Arden Manor <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />Resolution 2023-027, Approving Plans and Specifications and Ordering <br />Advertisement for Bids for the Arden Manor Park and Floral Park Improvements <br />Project. <br />Background/Discussion <br />On April 12, 2021, City Council approved Resolution 2021-017 supporting the City's application <br />for a CDBG funding opportunity for Arden Manor Park. At a Work Session on November 15, <br />2021, Council discussed the proposed improvements at Arden Manor Park and Floral Park <br />Hardcourt. At the November 22, 2021 Council meeting, the PSA with HR Green was approved <br />to design and construct Arden Manor Park and Floral Park Hardcourt. On October 24, 2022, <br />Council approved the PSA Amendment with HR Green to add the Floral Park playground <br />structures and park equipment to the overall project. On May 15, 2023, the 95% design plans <br />were presented to Council at the Work Session for final comments. <br />On May 16, 2023, PTRC discussed the 95% design plans and made motions towards the color <br />scheme of the play structures and shelters (Attachment D) as follows: <br />Motion to approve the "Spring Bloom" color scheme for the play structures <br />Motion to approve "Beige Brown" color for the shelter roofs. <br />Motion to approve "Dark Bronze" color for the shelter posts. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
